Huan Zhang Completes Her Master's Thesis Defense

Huan Zhang recently completed her master’s thesis defense. Her thesis is entitled “Retrieval of River Ice Thickness in Alpine Mountains Using Sentinel-1 Data.”

Huan Zhang’s research focuses on microwave remote sensing retrieval of river ice in alpine mountains. Since joining the group, she has undertaken extensive work on ICESAT altimetry and Sentinel SAR and applied multiple altimetry methods to river-ice retrieval in alpine regions. She also continued and led the group’s regular field measurements of river ice. Her results have been published in Remote Sensing and Remote Sensing Technology and Application.

Her work has advanced the team’s research on microwave remote sensing of river ice, and her presence has brought a cheerful and positive atmosphere to the group. We wish her every success in her future work!
