Master's Thesis Defense and Doctoral Midterm Reports Completed

Under blue skies and amid green landscapes, our students celebrate milestones in their academic journeys.

Huajin Lei recently completed her master’s thesis defense, entitled Precipitation Bias Correction in Cold Regions and Its Effects on Hydrological Processes. Since joining the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources in 2017, she has made encouraging progress in precipitation frequency correction and hydrological modeling. Congratulations to her!

Doctoral students Weiguo Wang and Haojie Li also recently completed their doctoral midterm progress reports. Their research topics are “Integrated Snow Classification in Typical Snow Regions of China Based on Moisture Sources” and “Remote Sensing of River Discharge and River Ice in Alpine Regions,” respectively. Related findings have recently appeared in international journals including Water, Remote Sensing of Environment, and Water Resources Research.
